Member Authorities of the Riyadh Memorandum of Understanding (RMOU) on port State control will launch a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on STCW. The campaign will commence from 1 September till 30 November 2022, and will be conducted simultaneously with other regional MOU’s.

Welcome to Riyadh MoU on PSC
Riyadh Memorandum of Understanding is one of the international regional memorandums in the world. Its aim is to establish a system for Port State Control. Currently the memorandum consists of six members in which were established in June 2004 at a meeting held in Riyadh by 6 countries as follows: (United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman, State of Qatar, State of Kuwait).NEWS & EVENTS

2022 Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on STCW
CIC on Crew Familiarization for Enclosed Space Entry
Riyadh MoU is launching a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) based on Crew Familiarization for Enclosed Space Entry. The purpose of the CIC is to ensure effective procedures and measures are in place to safeguard seafarers on board ships when entering and working in enclosed spaces and to check compliance with the applicable requirements of the SOLAS Convention. Consequently, as from 1st September 2017, all vessels may be subject to an additional check by PSCO’s. The campaign period will be commenced from 1st September 2017 and it will be held for 3 months, ending on 30th November 2017.

Riyadh MoU is announcing its 14th Annual Committee Meeting on Port State Control that will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 23rd to 25th January 2017.
CIC on Safety of Navigation 2015
Riyadh MoU is launching a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) based on Safety of Navigation, SOLAS Chapter V. The purpose of this CIC is to ensure that ships comply with the requirements of equipment such as AIS, VDR as well as to ensure that the Master and Watch Keeping Officers are familiar with these equipment. Consequently, as from 1st October 2015, all vessels may be subject to an additional check by PSCO’s. The campaign period will be commenced from 1st October 2015 and it will be held for 3 months, ending on 31st December 2015.
